STOLEN LAPTOP RECOVERED 1 YEAR AFTER THEFT

Miami, FL  June 9, 2008 - A computer stolen from a sales agent in Miami has finally been recovered, due to the hard work of the Miami PD and CyberAngel® Security Solutions, Inc.  In June of 2007, the victim had her vehicle broken into while at a sales seminar and her laptop computer stolen.  Her business computer had confidential information about her clients and their businesses.  The CyberAngel®’s Real-Time security approach ensured that the data was encrypted and cloaked, preventing any unauthorized access.

In March of 2008, that stolen computer started calling into the security monitoring center at CyberAngel® Security Solutions, Inc., providing details from where it was calling.  The CyberAngel® Recovery Team worked with the Miami PD, providing them that location information, to help in the recovery of that laptop.  This laptop was constantly on the move, calling in from several locations a week.  With The CyberAngel®’s unique tracking capabilities allowing it to be tracked even trough wireless networks, and through the continued efforts of the Miami PD, the laptop was recovered at one of its stationary points.
