Pittsburgh Laptop Thief Stopped Cold

Pittsburgh, PA – August 16, 2006 – CyberAngel® Security Solutions, Inc. (CSS, Inc.) has made yet another recovery in Pittsburgh and taken a thief out of business.  On July 26, a laptop computer belonging to a businessman was stolen from his car during a burglary.  His company uses The CyberAngel® on all their computers to encrypt sensitive data and recover lost or stolen hardware.  The stolen computer began covertly contacting The CyberAngel® Security Monitoring Center from across town without alerting the unauthorized user.  Thanks to the City of Pittsburgh Police Department, the laptop was recovered and returned to the rightful owner.
